Gravity Forms vs. WPForms vs. Caldera Forms? Which is the Best WordPress Forms Plugin?

Question

Gravity Forms vs. WPForms vs. Caldera Forms? Which is the Best WordPress Forms Plugin? So confusing to choose the right WordPress form plugin to use with DIVI WordPress Theme. I don’t want CONTACT FORM 7 as I hear that there is a lot of customization required with it. Is it true?

  1. I struggled with WP forms for a long time, finally committed to trying gravity forms, and I’m pissed ever since.

Now using WP Fluent Forms Pro… I’ll never go back

  2. Check out Fluent Forms, they are the new forms on the block and offering LTD… tons of features in the works and very few features left out compared to Gravity Forms.
I jumped on the Fluent Forms LTD, I’ve been paying Gravity Forms $99 per year so the LTD was a bargain and a NO BRAINER! Haven’t got to mess with it myself, but my cohort has been working a couple of days with it and proclaimed it’s GF on steroids. Time will tell though.

  3. Perhaps.. if you could provide your specific requirements. The members can guide you to the right direction.

Gravity Forms and its extensions are the best. Gravity is pretty flexible when it comes to functionality. You can use as optin, pop up, signup form etc. Pretty flexible as for design when you know CSS, and logically easy when you want to do complex form logic’s with math or “yes or no” stuff.

I adopted Gravity Forms after a year with Ninja Forms and another year with WP Forms. Gravity Forms seems to be so flexible and I’m a convert.

Make sure to check the integration tools. One thing I have found is integrations cost more time and money than the tool. If you have integration with specific services it’s well worth review of those as you make your decision. Gravity forms is my choice personally but I made that based on the integration requirements.

  4. If you have lots of money gravity is the one… I’ve dibbled in them all. If you are looking to the best contact form builder:

    1. Gravity Forms
    2. Caldera Forms
    3. WPForms

WpForms is the easiest but less functionality, gravity can do almost anything with some tweaking… cal seems to be the bread winner for me. But it’s expensive.

I just went with Fluent Forms(pro version). I’d say if you use it regularly with some complex form, Fluent Forms is the fastest and cheap as well. If you only want to build simple contact forms, use the free version of Fluent Forms, still real good and powerful already.

Fluent Forms is very flexible and easy to use. The conditional logic feature can do some impressive functions for clients.

  5. Don’t buy Caldera Forms addons. I bought their Connected Forms addon and it’s most convoluted, unnecessarily complicated piece of plugin I ever saw. Took me ages and numerous emails to their customer service to finally make it work. And to this day it’s still not working at 100% as I would like. Just yesterday had a client say the form is not delivering emails. I come in, and lo and behold – for some reason the plugin added some kind of nonfunctional tag in the send to email address field. The site hasn’t been touched for a month. Also it’s impossible to add a magic tag to the reply to email field, since the field VANISHES as soon as you click on another field and reappears as you reload the page, only to disappear again after you put in the email and click on another field.
Still waiting (over a month) on their response about translating pieces of the addon, since following their own documentation for Loco Translate is not working. I guess that translating the submit button is way over complicated for a mere mortal to understand? Including their own technical support. Did I mention their documentation in general sucks? It sucks bad.

    Never again.

  6. Formidable Forms is the best (I’ve tried all the rest)… you have to ask why WPBeginner is taking them into the fold (it is that great a form). We have on hundreds of sites (never an issue)… we hook up SendGrid too (to avoid the Spam Folder).

Gravity Forms if you have lots of clients and need lots of complexity. Caldera Forms if you want free and don’t need crazy complexity.

I went with Caldera Forms too (pro version) : I’d say if you use it regularly with some complex form, it is worth your money. If you only want to build simple contact forms, use the free version, still real good and powerful already
